Where: LagosNigeria
Schools: Quality & Change

Project Description

Our school of Quality & Change supported the re-accreditation support from 2013 to 2014 of Lagoon Hospitals for their Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation. In five visits we audited (mock surveys), trained the staff and upgraded the hospital to the newest JCI safety standards.
Our experts gave feedback on the extent to which some of the most important JCI standards (like FMS, MMU and QPS) were met, trained staff to perform as a tracer surveyor and advised on the steps to take to ensure the re-accreditation.
In several visits our experts met a group of Lagoon professionals who were eager to go for the re-accreditation and willing to improve their own skills to arrive there. The Lagoon professionals valued specifically the ‘tracer training’. The experts were thanked to have given ‘a new and valuable input in the system’ the training was rated as ‘interesting, informative and educative’. Trainees felt empowered. MeduProf-S will support management and staff during the preparation process.
