Hospital Management Training – Module 4

From 10–14 May, module 4 of the Hospital Management Training in Kenya was facilitated by Michel Duinkerke and Martin Osumba.

This module, entitled ‘Epidemiology and Public Health’ addressed topics which included measures of disease frequency, measures of burden of disease, study designs, measures of determinant-disease association, international frameworks and commitments to health, the health system in Kenya, health sector reform and an introduction to health economics. The focus of the topics lay in their relevance towards hospital management. The participants very much appreciated the program.
