Last module Obstetric Emergency conducted in Ghana

From 8th to 12th October, Meike Beukema (lecturer in midwifery) visited Ghana for the last module of the Obstetric Emergency course.

The mean subjects this week were

•  shoulderdystocia
•  breech presentatio
•  repetition of CTG
•  risk selection
•  prolonged and obstructed labour and PPH (post – partum haemorrhage).

The participants were enthusiastic and motivated. Due to sustainability a presentation for the whole hospital will be organised to present their new skills.
