Train the Trainer Course on St. Eustatius

From November 8-12 2010 Marc Landa and Erik van Roon were on St. Eustatius (Statia) to conduct a Train the Trainers Course.
As with the previous course on Bonaire the main purpose was to facilitate a Train the Trainer Course in preparation for the Emergency Care Training which will be organised for the staff of the Saba Hospital and the Statia Hospital between January 2011 and July 2012. Three members of staff from Saba flew to Statia especially for this week long course. In the upcoming courses the program will be held on both Saba and Statia.
The content of this Train the Trainers Course focused mainly on skills related to teaching, coaching on the job, feedback and reflection. The content to be included in the Emergency Care Training, where necessary, was also illustrated.
Their future role, as coaches / trainers, also became increasingly clear to the participants as the week progressed.
During the next two years, the participants will continue to develop training skills.
