Philips Medical Systems together with the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Zambia contracted MeduProf-S to deliver Ultrasound training for medical staff. The training program runs from 2011 till 2014. Each year 2 modules of 2 weeks are being taught.
A MeduProf-S expert delivers the training together with 10 local trainers. In 2011 this group of 10 trainers was trained via the “Train the Trainer” principle, in order to provide them with the knowledge and skills to become co-trainers of the program.

From November 26 – 30 mr. Michel Westhoff travelled to Lusaka to conduct Module 2 of 2 of the Ultrasound training program. Module 2 is an advanced module. In Module 1 the basics of Ultrasound were taught and in Module 2 abdominal pathologies as well as fetal anomalies were discussed in theory and hands-on.
The second week of Module 2  (December 3 – 7) is delivered by the local teaching team only. That fits in the MeduProf-S train the trainer approach.
